... Yes, yes I do. I also complain about the amount of fossil fuels burned to power the stadium and the millions of TVs people use to watch it.
I complain about the massive uptick in cheap plastic garbage that gets produced leading up to it in the form of signs, flags, and hats.
I complain about the environmental impacts of superfluous and needlessly-aggrandized sporting events literally all the time, my wife is sick of hearing about it.
@corewill @decolonialatlas We do actually, the #CarDependency approach USA has taken to stadiums is a disaster.
Also, try to watch your TV in SD, because FHD leaves a much higher *carbon footprint*
@[email protected] here we are replacing plastic straws with paper ones.
Humanity's priorities are clearly wrong.

Don't forget to recycle!

This is ridiculous.
It's time to #EatTheRich
I find big sports events disgusting for several reasons. That they entice people to travel long distances in a non-sustainable (and hence non-ethical) way is a major one of those.
This is an edited re-toot, original was by

@corewill: Car travel is also not sustainable, given we are 8e9 people on Earth. I decided against owning a car and do complain about their liberal use.
@decolonialatlas fun fact: a guillotine is highly reusable.
