Machine Identification Code - Wikipedia

@BudNicaea @RadicalEdward Yep. You can see them with the naked eye if you have good lighting - give it a try with any nearby document that came out of a printer or copy machine.
@RadicalEdward tech people programming industrial robots don't go into the robot cage if the power is on. They must know why😁.
@generationX @RadicalEdward proper cages will have gates or light curtains to estop the robots. Unless of course the devs forgot to implement that code.
@RadicalEdward Im ready to shoot the roomba if it goes feral
@RadicalEdward Tell me you work in tech without telling me you work in tech: I want a *dumb* refrigerator.
@RadicalEdward @markhurst Nothing like several decades in software development to make you aware of how cobbled-together and unreliable most of it is.
@RadicalEdward Exlains why you could not pay me all the money in the world to ever use AutoPilot or FSDbeta in a Tesla.
@RadicalEdward Basically the Dunning-Kruger Effect.
@RadicalEdward other teams at my work seem perplexed that I (a person in the I.T. dept) don't want to install or use an "app" and prefer a website instead. My finance dept changed to a new expense platform that has a useless website and all functionality is via the app. I challenged them saying I only do my expenses on web, since I don't have a company phone to install apps on... They can't fathom why I wouldn't just install an app. :(
@RadicalEdward I am currently pushing a phone policy to my workplace as risk mitigation as part of a proposed MDM. If the company doesn't offer a stipend or device for work use, then I might as well not have a phone at all. So... If you bought a service that requires a mobile device, you better buy me one for use of said system.
@RadicalEdward are you talking about voting machines? Because it sounds like you're talking about voting machines.
@RadicalEdward horseshoe theory of threat modeling
@RadicalEdward Yeahhh, no ... this is Absolute Truth most of the time.

@RadicalEdward @yinaar Trust is a transient illusion at best. Enjoy the tech but keep a flame thrower handy.
@RadicalEdward this does not help my impostor syndrome
