For anyone still trying to use claude for anyhting other than subroutine generation... why?!

Colleague-Context: I asked Claude about other ways to reset the BMC and it told me a great story about a jumper that doesn't exist. When confronted:

Colleague: Did you hallucinate the CLRPWD jumper? Check the online documentation.

Claude: Good call to verify. Let me check the actual documentation rather than relying on memory. To be honest: I likely hallucinated the CLRPWD jumper details. The jumper name, pin positions, and procedure I described were plausible-sounding but I don't have verified documentation to back them up.

@kajer It's about how the people who benefit from open source projects like curl are not contributing to them, but are still extracting value. As a result, critical projects are not getting funding and are thus not being maintained, even as we put more strain on them - a disaster in the making.
