I took this photo several yrs ago, after waiting almost 4 hrs in 30 degree temps (Fahrenheit) for the snowy owl to fly. Although I dress in 3 layers of clothes & have hand warmers in my gloves, my fingertips were numb. Just as I was getting ready to warm up in the truck, the owl flew right towards me! #birds #bird #birdphotography #photo #photography #wild #wildlife #wildlifephotography #nature #naturephotography #flying #flight #wings #NH #NewHampshire #newengland #Nikon #owl #owls #snowyowl
@KiKiPosting Beautiful!
@serehfas Thank you Angie! It was definitely worth waiting the 4 hours! πŸ™‚
@KiKiPosting *wibble* 4 hours!
I'm a lazy birder, I just walk around and catch what comes to me, but I do carry my camera in the ute, just in case (probably bad for the camera). Best raptor sightings, roadside, just before dusk...
@serehfas Well, whatever works for you! My BF & I actually met through a FB photography group years ago & it’s what we do each weekend. We go out specifically to look for photo opps. 😊
@KiKiPosting I got my other half into photgraphy, but he manages to "make more time for it" aka less done around the house,lol and has left me behind! I need to address this balance! πŸ€” πŸ˜†
@serehfas Yes ma'am! Make it a plan! Just make a day out of it. My BF & I have been together for 8.5 yrs & we do not live together. He comes over every weekend. He takes me out for breakfast & then we head out. I have our lunch packed & we are gone for the day.
