FeMaster@leo I have something similar, though it's all plastic. I know the feeling! About the only thing I don't have in mine are those AA Duracell batteries. They have a terrible problem with leaking acid inside my precious electronics. They have destroyed way too many of my things, never again. 😭
Before anybody asks, no, I didn't leave them in for long periods of time unused or dead. They leaked in items with frequent use, and after only a short period of time. No not near expiration either.

Really, NiMH have been around for a while and I think EU should consider to ban single-use alkaline AAA and AA cells - is there a use case I am missing?

Texan Tally@leo mine are all in a tote and I'm trying to put more small boxes in that one just to keep the "needs charging" separate from the "charged" collection. All my batts now are rechargeable. I hate throwing them away all the time, makes me feel bad. So, invested in chargers and diff sized batteries, and it's saved my bacon. No, "oh crap, forgot to buy those"--they're all in the box ready to go!
