Please note that EU governing departments are setting up their own instances. US Govt agencies should do the same. No reason we should have credible information and rational discussion held hostage by billionaires or seditionists. Nice to see ya here, sir!

@RitchieTorres Good to see someone who represents the people making the choice for a 'people' operated social media site. It saddens me that my tax dollars will continue to support a billionaires ego fest as long as elected officials and government agencies use his platform. Ideally someone will create a USGov or USCongress federated server and not be subject to the musky whims of a running free mental health patient.

@RitchieTorres have Congressional staffers done any due diligence with the National Archives, and Appropriations committees to understand federal rules around official communications and budget for constituent services outside of a centralized platform (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc)?
