Mission to Europa@mickwest I'm trying to migrate off twitter at the moment. I basically checked-out of the UFO topic in the past few months. I will be excited when new data is actually released that shows something unusual actually was detected by multiple sensors. Not more ghost stories.

Mastodon by default unfortunately only supports searching via hashtags. You can't search via content in posts unless they type a specific hashtag.
There are exceptions though...
The https://universeodon.com instance has implemented a custom feature for searching text in posts. I'm hoping this gets adopted by more instances! It makes finding like minded and interesting discussions that much better.
Trying there might help you find skeptics and ufo related discussions that way 😉

@mickwest I’m not excited. I think the U.S. military has to deal with pressing threats from this reality before considering those from elsewhere. I expect the response to be that ‘uap’s’ represent no threat to the USA
