"Suspended" is trending on Twitter right now. All of the suspended accounts I'm finding (thanks archive.org) have "@ElonJet" in one of their last tweets. A few notable accounts were just suspended, like Twitter just turned on "Elon's Jet" rule today, or just got out of a meeting about whether or not they should suspend said accounts. https://twitter.com/search?q=Suspended&src=trend_click&f=live&vertical=trends
@mmasnick @Popehat large scale brigading triggering automated suspensions pending automatic review... and if there isn't anyone to review (or a huge backlog or everybody is too on edge to contradict a ban) 🤷
i never worked on those systems so this is just as wild of a guess as anybody else could make
Elon (Flipping Out): Remaining Twitter Employee, write me a SQL query that selects all accounts that have mentioned the account tracking my jet.
Remaining Twitter Employee: What should I do with the results?
Elon (Still Flipping Out): Ban them all!
(insert Game of Thrones mad king shouting "burn them all" gif here)
@Popehat @mmasnick Almost certainly bad automated stuff being triggered by a huge volume of fraudulent user reports. Normally you have humans in the loop. Granted, those humans are barely trained contractors following a script and paid a miniscule wage in the cheapest country you can find, but it at least adds a check against this sort of mass failure. However, word is that Twitter isn't even paying for that anymore, so... 🤷

@mmasnick
I’m so over Musk. He’s just a petulant man-child.
Between him, Trump, Kanye and GOP, really would like 2023 to be the year narcissistic men fade away and normalcy & decency ring true again.
