3/4 Now, this leaves me with two accounts here. My plan is:

» This account (@joemcken) is pretty much being retired. I’ll still monitor notifications here, just in case, but I won’t be posting, so there’s not much point in following it anymore.
2/4 The bridged account (@joemcken.net) is an automated mirror of my Bsky account. I can’t directly control it – that’s just how Bridgy Fed works. But I also shouldn’t need to, as it mirrors any update I make over on Bsky.
You can mention it & reply to its posts, but I’ll only see your posts on my end on Bsky if you’ve also bridged your account. Thankfully, that’s as simple as following @bsky.brid.gy – that’s it.

I’m mainly active on Bluesky, since it’s where all my peeps hang out, so if you ever wanted to see all my posts, reposts and other things, but didn’t want to get on Bluesky yourself … well, today sure is your lucky day.

I was today years old when I learned you can select linked text on a webpage without opening the link simply by holding down Alt before clicking (and releasing it *after* you release the mouse button).
This is unironically gonna save me quite a bit of time in the future.
Lots of aurorae tonight, visible even way down south.
So, naturally, we got cloud cover here.
I will die an old man without having ever seen a single aurora or eclipse or anything else cool. 😔
