For those wondering, β€²β€² how did i do it?":
I Boiled 10l of water, added 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, two cups of coke and half cup of lemon juice then stirred well .
Waited 3 minutes, put the pan in the solution for 45 minutes, then added a quarter cup of chlorine bleach to the mixture.
Then I brushed it with a firm toothbrush and put it back into the liquid for another 25 minutes.
I took it out, rinsed it and it looked exactly the same, so I threw it away and went out and bought a new one.

@ktdoggett Spray on oven cleaner works.
@Blacklistedpg2 @ktdoggett i suspect it also take off everything else lol
@ktdoggett @ivalaine I love using it on the bottoms of my stainless steel pans, but works on the cheap Teflon coated ones.
@Blacklistedpg2 @ivalaine @ktdoggett I’ve used oven cleaner on glass baking dishes, especially those I β€œinherited” from my mother-in-law. Get the low fume one.
@Blacklistedpg2 @ktdoggett @schfinkes yes some of my pyrex is due for a spray with oven cleaner. My experience is it works even better warm. I preheat oven to warm then turn off and use so it warms a bit. Amazing stuff if nasty! Mask and gloves for sure and usually do before going out for a walk and put range hood on to clear out any fumes

@ktdoggett 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
@ktdoggett ... you had me right to rinse 🀭
@ktdoggett
🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
@ktdoggett it works!! it really worked!!! fantastic... thanks for sharing...

@ktdoggett

LOL

(and lucky me, there is a local op shop that sells excellent pots for about $5 each time)

@ktdoggett oh man this made me laugh. Thank you hahaha
@ktdoggett that's a lot of work. Cool if I just use my angle grinder instead? πŸ‘
@Sramaroid @ktdoggett have been known to use mine (with wire brush attachment) for kitchen utensils, parts of the stove etc...

@mzdt @Sramaroid

Actually, you know what would really work?
A pressure washer.
Not practical for home kitchens, I know, but what about a discrete enclosed unit?
I mean, people use pressure COOKERS, which are potentially deadly.

@ktdoggett

Looks properly seasoned to me.

I did not see muriatic acid in your recipe.

@SpaceLifeForm @ktdoggett Every recipe eventually involves muriatic acid …

@ktdoggett

That's exactly how I did mine! Remarkable solution πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

@ktdoggett 🀣 had me going for a second there!
@ktdoggett hilarious. As I was reading, I thought "ain't no way I'm doing any of that; I'd buy a new one" but somehow your ending still got me πŸ˜„ too funny!
@ktdoggett You had me all the way to the last sentence 🀣
@ktdoggett Well played - I feel like I just got Rick-rolled!
@ktdoggett
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
@ktdoggett I am glad that this recipy was not working. I have no idea where to get that much cocain.
@ktdoggett A ball of aluminum foil also works pretty well. It's too soft to scratch your pan but scrapes off a lot of crud.
@ktdoggett
🀣 Ok, you got me. πŸ™„ πŸ˜‹ All my pans look like the first one so I was really into your removal recipe.... untill... πŸ˜‚
The toothbrushbrushing sounded like a bit too much work though. πŸ˜‰

@Erny

Read above comment about aluminum foil.
Oven cleaner will take that crud off the bottom of the pan.
Just cleaning after each use keeps the bowl part clean.

@ktdoggett
Does your food taste any different from the sparkling pan?

@ktdoggett Secret rejuvenation technology exists. I have, however, signed a non-disclosure agreement. Big leather owns my sole.

@ktdoggett Well played! :D

For those so inclined, there is a magical substance called "kettle cleaner" used for stripping lacquered-on oil stains from commercial popcorn makers. If it's good enough for carnies... https://www.popcornsupply.com/heat-n-kleen-popcorn-kettle-cleaner

Seriously, the stuff is magical. Of course now I have the urge to run a heavily rigged ring toss game and operate a poorly maintained Tilt-A-Whirl ride so beware of side effects. #AlwaysWearPPE
