Repeating this for people in my own hemisphere!

So where are my people at on Mastodon? I’m into #writing, #horses (#dressage,) #cooking and #baking (#glutenfree,) #dogs (#agility,) (#webdev,) #decluttering, #music (#dance, #jazz, #classicalmusic,) #basketball (#MSU, #Suns,) #bellydance (former pro & teacher,) #gardening (#fruit #trees, #roses,) and I’m chemically-sensitive and run a Facebook group for other people with #mcs called #CanaryChat.

@carynangelique Writing and classical music are my jams out of that list!
@carynangelique Try doing a keyword search on https://fediverse.observer/list and then search specific servers that come up for interesting people to follow.
Fediverse Observer checks all sites in the fediverse and gives you an easy way to find a home from a map or list or automatically.

Fediverse Sites Status. Find a Fediverse server to sign up for, find one close to you!

@acitta I thought when I searched a hashtag it searched the entire Fediverse. Are you saying it only searches my server?
@carynangelique People may join an instance based on their interests. If you find an instance with a description that includes one of your interests, you could search on the server name and it will show you all the users on that instance. For example I searched @fediscience.org and found a lot of scientists that I could follow.
@acitta I tried the link you provided, but the search box (if what I assume is a search box IS a search box) can’t be selected. Perhaps it only works on desktop?
