Starting another #TrainTravel from #Berlin to #Teruel. I do this round-trip a couple of times per year, in an attempt of #FlyingLess.
As there are no night trains, if everything goes well, it takes about 36 hours from door to door, with wait times. Spending some night near the France-Spain border is needed.
The route consists in between three and five trains, usually one bus too. About half of the times there is some train delayed or cancelled, let's see this time, crossing fingers.
Both trains I had to get today have been delayed. My first train got delayed to the point that I wouldn't have reached my second train. But the second train has been delayed too, what has been good then. I may even get some refund. #TrainTravel
I was wondering if tomorrow afternoon I go from #Zaragoza to #Teruel by train or by bus, but it seems that it is going to be bus. It looks like the (almost) free tickets for regional trains in Spain are working. #TrainTravel

Waiting in #Avignon for the third #Train of the travel.

Train #Renfe-#SNCF 9731, the only train that connects Madrid with France. A train that seems to have its days counted, as the collaboration between both railway companies seems to be ending.

Recently the only direct train between Madrid and Lisbon was removed too.

Imagine being a country that in these days of #ClimateCrisis you push to build more gas streams while you neglect your #InternationalRailway connections. #Spain.

And last part of the journey, #Zaragoza-#Teruel, effectively by bus. There were no tickets for train, and bus is also fully packed.

This route is used by anyone that goes from most of northern Spain to the Mediterranean area. This bus has stops for example in #Valencia and #Murcia too. There are buses that use also this route to connect #Euskadi with the mediterranean area.

Improving #railway connections in this area should be a priority.
