aug24@welshgirl900 @nathan it’ll be up to the instance admin. Change log suggests that a non-trivial (ie might be a while…) db migration is required, so it’s not necessarily as automatable as one would like.

@tgent_fens It's the web version of Mastodon which is getting updated and officially supporting these features. The official apps have been updated to support these new features I believe, but only if the instance has been updated.

@nathan It’s the option you get when clicking on the little globe symbol. I understand it means your post won’t appear in people’s timelines, even though it’s public.
It shows up when using a browser but wasn’t showing up on the main app. I’ve now downloaded the Mast app and it‘s working.
