Have you managed to add the @IzzyOnDroid repository to the F-Droid app?
If not, you may have a look here: https://www.f-droid.org/en/tutorials/add-repo/
Then, you may have to refresh the repos before doing a search to find the @Mastodon app.

Benny@Danda Try typing in "mastodon.social" when you're looking for the instance and it should pop up - I was struggling with that for a while myself haha
Ellie@Danda it's part of your full profile name - you're on mastodon.social. And that add flow's search box also accepts a url; you can add instances that aren't listed.
