While I am going through my old emails trying to decide on what to delete and what to move to my new #ProtonMail account, I stumbled accross my #WTSocial invite link.

Out of curiosity I logged in and saw that they migrated to another service called #TrustCafe

Is anyone in here using trustcafe actively?

@jdp23 @tchambers interesting, is it just because posts can be edited? #fediverse is in principle not immune to #spam but I suppose it has reasonable ways to deal with it by instance admin action and just blocking instances if they do not protect themselves. #WTSocial seems to have some advanced user vetoing, no? If so, why does it have so much spam?

The more trusted you are, the more power you have.

I'm giving up on WT.Social. It's a neat idea, but failed to gain critical mass in a reasonable timeframe, and even the upcoming big release 2 doesn't sound like it would alter the fundamentals. And now I've found that the person I read the most from on WTS (the prolific @estherschindler) is on Mastodon as well.
