@BexhillPerson @pzmyers Aren't both Mastodon and Diaspora parts of the Fediverse these days? In principle you could make do with only one of these, I think (whether you want to is of course a different matter).

diaspora* didn't implement ActivityPub (yet?) so no, those two social networks don't communicate with each other.
