Brainstorm, write down questions, shuffle post-it notes. Stare into the wall. Pace through the room like a Sherlock Holmes.
Be dramatic.
Has #writerblock for some time. Unexpectedly I woke up an hour earlier, my mind started plotting the story development. Had to rush for a morning meeting, no time to note down my ideas. Busy throughout the day, but my mind was back on the dialogues during breaks. I think by the time I'm finally settled down after my daily chores are done, I will forget the key points again.
Do not, under any circunstacies, put something in the oven and then sit down to write.
You will burn it.
Seriouly, are you facing a block? Just put something in the oven and sit down to write.
"Time to switch the oven out. Okay, I will just finish this sentence."
Then the smoke alarm goes off, as you finished that line and kept going.

So that's what it's called! That's how I broke my empty-page paralysis. I recommend every writer read this.
It's essentially the way I write now, except I don't limit myself with a timer. I do have characters and an idea first. Wild Encounter pinned to my profile was written this way. I absolutely recommend this as a tonic
