𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 is on March 24. This day marks the discovery of the TB bacterium by Dr. Robert Koch in 1882. TB is an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can spread to other parts of the body. It spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

Despite being preventable and treatable, TB remains a major health problem worldwide, especially in low-income regions. Early detection and access to proper treatment are essential to control and eliminate TB. Vaccination with BCG helps protect newborns from severe TB forms.

The theme for 2026 is "𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝗪𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗕: 𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲." This highlights the need for leadership and collective action in fighting TB.

Let’s raise awareness, support affected communities, and work together to make TB history.
