There's an old Kentucky joke about a feller whose car broke down while getting on the Interstate. When the State Police arrived to render aid, the officer found him carefully filling mason jars with water from a nearby stream. He placed the jars ahead and behind his vehicle and cut some dandelions to put in each jar.
