I followed a 'recommend' and watched this excellent video on restoring a 100-year-old wheel. We had one on display in our front 'garden' but it has fallen on bad times and is now there only as a sad reminder of what it used to be.
It was great watching how the raw materials they had back then: wood, iron, natural-rubber, were shaped with skill into a durable wheel.
