On 26 May 2026, I marked two years as editor of the Brazilian Portuguese edition of weeklyOSM, which enabled the publication in that language after a hiatus of several years. As a record for posterity, I would like to highlight some news that have inspired the global community.

weeklyOSM 825 is out, and it's a good one.

A two-year study shows OSM Denmark producing geodata roughly 9x more efficiently than the government-led GeoFA project.
