Gosh.

Resounding victory for Plaid on 47.4% to Reform's 36%. Labour crushed on a mere 11%, and Tories down to 2%.

Bitter pill to swallow seeing us lose Hefin's seat, but Reform represents an existential threat to our democracy and I am very glad that Plaid prevented them from taking it.

@BBCNews @politics-BBCNews I love that the lead here is “ex-MP charged” rather than “current MS charged”!

Russell George, Member of the Senedd for Montgomeryshire, has also been charged but seemingly the BBC pays more attention to has-been members of the Union parliament than current members of Wales’ national parliament!

@NationCymru This is exactly why the closed list system for the new Senedd system is a Bad Thing. No-one should be 'almost certainly guaranteed' a seat - voters should have the right to support a party but reject specific candidates if they want (as in Northern Ireland under STV).

@huwfulcher What I find staggering is that he will lose the VONC but still not resign. If you can't command the support of a majority of MSs, you really shouldn't be allowed to cling on - but more importantly, you should have to humility to realise it too.
