39 years ago today, June 13, 1987, Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine entered the Top 40 of Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart at #40 in its 3rd week with “Rhythm is Gonna Get You”. It went on to peak at #5 and spent a total of 12 weeks in the Top 40.

This was the 1st single from their “Let it Loose” album following their quite successful “Primitive Love” album.
