Also I'm curious what'll #vibecamp be like. It looks chill and I'm looking forward to it. I just wish it weren't all people coordinating on Twitter and Discord. Communities should depend on companies especially given recent happenings at bird site :(

Heading to #vibecamp, waiting at Baltimore Amtrak station. It feels weird. Like an airport. They call the places you go wait for your train "gates" and have a big digital board with On Time / Last Call. And it feels like the building is maybe 4x bigger than current traffic would warrant. Also, no easily accessible place to buy reasonable not-too-unhealthy breakfast.

Feels kinda like one of those "yes of course I know what lions look like haha *draws a dog*" things but with public infrastructure

So... #Bluesky ALWAYS had a community of #TPOT (that part of twitter) and #Web3. They’re not newcomers, it’s not a new trend, they’re all months old accounts. They have a very well defined cluster in the bluesky social graph, etc.

And even the dev team have an history of working on web3, cryptocurrency stuff and being part of TPOT and #vibecamp. So the web3 cluster and the TPOT cluster are no accident.

So, did bsky users started asking themselves why TPOT and cryptobros were invited before them?
Asking why Jack Dorsey who is a strong cryptocurrency believer is financing both Nostr and bluesky?
Asking about the devs past work?

No, no, much more important. They decided to dunk and dogpile the one guy who got the "bitcoin.bsky.social" handle 3 months ago and is simply sharing bitcoin memes in a platform that always had a cryptobro community.

Congratulation, you built Twitter 2.0, I hate it.
