Host a rally or event at their district office or other highly visible public place to hold them accountable and educate constituents about the local impact of Republicans pouring our hard-earned tax dollars into Trump’s mass deportation machine and other MAGA priorities instead of delivering relief from skyrocketing costs and protecting our rights.

Join members of three Brookline pro-democracy groups — indivisible Activist Evenings, Brookline Pax, and Speak Out, Seniors! — for our weekly rally at Coolidge Corner.
We gather to raise our voices and our signs in defense of democracy, justice, and decency — and to stand united against the abuses of the Trump administration and the forces that threaten our rights and freedoms.
We stand for:
• Immigrant rights, human rights, and racial justice
• Free speech, the Constitution, and the rule of law
• Access to health and healthcare for all
• Protection of our planet and the future we leave to the next generation
We choose empathy over cruelty, peace over violence, and hope over fear.
Our rallies are peaceful, spirited, and uplifting — a chance to connect, recharge, and stand up for what matters. Bring your friends, your voice, and your sign (or borrow one of ours!).
All are welcome! The rally is multi-generational and family-friendly; those using walkers or other mobility devices may use them to sit to participate.
In the event of inclement weather, we’ll each use our best judgment about whether to attend. We hope you’ll do the same!

Join Northland Neighbors United and thousands of people across the country to send Citizens Bank a clear message: financing private prison and immigration detention facility operators The GEO Group and CoreCivic is bad for business.
Please join our Freedom Vigil in solidarity with our friends, neighbors and community members who are being unjustly detained and deported by 🧊 at the Leavenworth detention center known as MRRC. By signing up, you will help us build our collective power as we add our vigil outside the LV detention center to the ever expanding map of Freedom Vigils occurring every week across the country supported by @workerscircle
During this time when 🧊s lawlessly tearing families apart and engaging in human rights abuses at detention centers, our vigil offers a peaceful, powerful way to oppose these cruel attacks on immigrants and show those who are detained, and their families, that they are not forgotten.
Let’s raise our voices together, shining a light on the family separations happening only 29 miles from Kansas City and the deportations happening quietly out of the public eye.

Citizens Bank is bankrolling the country’s two largest prison companies that are earning record profits operating dozens of ICE detention facilities.
While most major banks have cut ties with CoreCivic and The GEO Group, Citizens Bank is deepening its financial support for these companies, which are already holding more than half of the 70,000 immigrants currently in ICE detention centers across the country.
The bank’s capital is supporting a deplorable ICE agenda that aims to fill detention centers with more than 100,000 people by next year.
Even as it publicly touts its commitment to “strengthening our communities,” Citizens Bank has played a key role in helping The GEO Group and CoreCivic access more than $2.5 billion in financing, some of it approved earlier this year. This comes as the companies face a mountain of allegations, including forced labor and wrongful deaths due to understaffing and medical neglect at their facilities.
We won't quietly stand by as Citizens continues to finance the private prison & ICE detention companies that are harming our communities. The 2019 exodus of banks from the industry in response to activism should be a reminder to us that our voices matter. Now it's time to use them. One year ago on this date, the very first No Kings protest took place. That same morning, Melissa and Mark Hortman, along with their beloved dog, were tragically gunned down in their home in an act of political violence.
One year later, we come together to honor their memory and stand united in defense of our First Amendment rights at a time when a wannabe king continues doing everything he can to silence dissent.

This is a time in history that calls on ordinary people to do extraordinary things. We are the resistance! Democracy is worth fighting for! We each have a responsibility to stand up against extremism, corruption, cruelty, and the erosion of the freedoms generations before us fought to protect.
Silence is not an option. We are in the fight of our lifetime.
