Anyone knows if is it possible to edit an abstract submission once sent to the #useR2026 conference? It uses the indico platform but I don't find any mention for this.

Just checking if I can submit now and edit as the conference-driven-analysis take shape. For now, the data is under review as it has some errors and will need to be generated again from its primary sources.

useR! 2026 call for abstracts is open

#Rstats #useR2026 website have been updated with "Call of contributions"

https://user2026.r-project.org/call/

I am looking for partners in crime to run a {targets} tutorial. I am thinking of a simple workflow that get data from an S3 like bucket, process it and then publish result in quarto. We can do more complicated stuff but I think 3 hours is limited to get folks up and running.

Anyone interested? DL is 8 of march!

spread the love of {targets} !

I will give a keynote on geocomputation and spatial data science in R.

📅 6–9 Jul 2026, Warsaw, Poland

Let’s make this event spatial!

#rStats How should we submit tutorials or talks to @useR_conf ? I can't find any information about the structure or format we should use for #useR2026.

This time it might be the first time I present something from work. I'll probably also submit another talk for one project I've been working on.

@useR_conf The website says submissions for #useR2026 started yesterday, but I can't find where to submit my abstract. Has this date been changed?

In this keynote, Peter Dalgaard will take us back to R’s origins in the 1990s and trace how its development principles took shape alongside the PC, Internet, and Open-Source revolutions. From there, he’ll unpack how R Core approaches release management, and how governance is shared across the broader ecosystem, including the CRAN team, the R Foundation, and the R Consortium.
