@troldann Yeah, that's also the problem. At this point in tech, consistent reproduction of video quality is simply not a thing. However, when you toss in Dolby Vision, HDR10, etc.
It's like adding all of the complications of 3D printing, to a 2D printer. And 99% of people don't want to dick with HDR tuning, so if it's not perfect out of the box, then "Experiences will vary."

That said, I also grabbed HDR content for both my LG #UltraGear gaming monitor and my LG OLED C2 (Hmm, Common thread in there) and neither really blows my socks off. But I also have nowhere else to experience HDR/DV/etc.

I have audiophile friends, friends that build their own keyboards, crazy photographers with color accurate monitors, but nobody I know is a videophile with a nutso viewing area. Oh well, give it a decade I guess.
