New filament and .4 nozzle. Bridging is worlds better, but still getting curling up of the unsupported edges. I think that’s a cooling thing?
The finish is obviously nicer with the smaller nozzle, but I think most of the stuff I’ll be printing will be fairly utilitarian, so I may switch back to the .8 once I understand this machine a little better.

I’m about to do my first 3D prints, what’s the best #slicer for Linux? I’ve heard of #PrusaSlicer (C++/WxWidgets) and #Ultimaker #Cura (Python/QML), do you have any recommendation?

(If there was an official Linux release, I’d start with PrusaSlicer by default, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the trouble to build it from source as it relies on an unstable version of WxWidgets…)

Von der rosa Begleitwolke als Augmented Reality Kunstprojekt habe ich nun aus derselben 3D Datei eine rosa Wolke ausgedruckt.

Jetzt muss ich nur noch die Verpackung designen (Blister), wo dann der QR-Code für die Augmented Reality- Anwendung drauf kommt ... Ach ja, zuerst muss ich noch ein neues AR-Programm suchen, weil Adobe Aero den Dienst eingestellt hat. Aber ich habe schon welche in der engeren Auswahl.

My trusted old #Ultimaker Original+ got some new love recently. I put an old #RaspberryPi 3, booting from SSD, next to the main controller board underneath the printer. And powering it directly from the 24V PSU
