It wasn't until I watched this last night that I ever really thought about it, but every #bass guitar I've ever owned has had split-post #tuners, and I've never owned a #guitar with locking tuners or split-post tuners, that I know of.

I do know, however, that I loathe vintage guitar tuners, because they are universally terrible. Modern, sealed tuning machines are so much better in every way. They are more precise, have less gear lash, they hold better, and look better.

well then. I got my ukulele cases into my walk-in closet *and* in the process found the missing black Snark tuner (of Oregon State Fair fame). bonus!

I tested it out and it didn’t even require me to use up my last 2032 lithium battery.
