I think this is an interesting experiment, worth pursuing. It's an attempt to render an #AngloSaxon jewel in #Trapunto quilting of gauze. I used leftover gauze from the #AmarnaOverlays, which is why the colours aren't quite rich enough, and the stitched outline needs to be darker so as to be less intrusive.

@RWhitechurch Yes, really scary! The time I tried it was part of a #Goldwork and #Trapunto mashup and the facing fabric was silk. I have never been so frightened with a needle in my hand!

I'm really pleased with the success of my insane crossover of #goldwork and #trapunto. There is an immense satisfaction in seeing what was in "the inward eye" take form in reality. #embroidery #fiberarts #DreamsOfAmarna #AkhenatenEmbroidery
