For this week's #ArtAdventCalendar, in honour of the publication this year of my book "Dreams of Amarna", a sequence of Egyptological pieces..

This one, "Loading The Felucca", honours the modern Egyptians would did the labouring, the excavation, and the carpentry, without which the scientific work of the dig would not have been the success it became.

Finished this lovely stump work project yesterday. Becky Hogg is a great teacher! It took awhile to finish as I wanted to figure out a magnetic attachment instead if a pin. My brilliant partner helped with that! #stumpwork #needlearts #fiberarts

Pomegranates! I promised myself I wouldn’t rush through this and I haven’t, but there’s a WCA gallery show with a tree theme and the deadline is August 5th, soooooo fingers crossed! I fully don’t expect to ever sell a large scale embroidery, but I’d like to display them to more than friends and family and this one tells a nice story with the two paintings I plan to submit. #embroidery #wip #stumpwork
