Three Islands

Walked to #titahibay for today's constitutional, but had to take my shoes off in central Porirua due to incipient blistering so the last 5k were barefoot - probably have to call Heather at some point for a ride home before I make it to my target I think.

There’s a short path behind the beach at Titahi Bay that has these four carved wooden figures that celebrate Māori and Western explorers (the latter being controversial choices, judging from the vandalism of the information plaques).

It was quite delightful to find these carvings on the track that I mostly used to go to the shops. Adds a bit of flair to the everyday.
