Well #ticketek, That right there was one of the most fucked up, deliberately shitty experiences I've had in quite a while.
If it weren't for the sake the tickets are not available anywhere else.. you'd not have gotten my business you middleman, skimming, sleazy fucks.
Shove your #DynamicPricing up your Static Arsehole.

I missed out on #opeth tickets at the sydney opera house in nov this year. found some on marketplace and the seller is not too far from me and the price is good. asked to paypal and they can email me a pdf of the tix which they were cool with. just got this;
"I''ve been trying to get answers to why I haven't been able to print out the tickets all day and have just been informed that due to the venue not allowing access to the print function and the tickets until the morning of the event"
typical shitty #ticketek behaviour it seems, though the opera house seems to be enabling them too
I did find https://help.ticketmaster.com.au/hc/en-au/articles/360009945533-Why-can-t-I-print-my-tickets-for-my-event-at-the-Sydney-Opera-House and it mentions "If you elect to collect your tickets from the venue box office, you’ll need to present your photo ID for collection on the day. Early arrival is recommended to avoid delays."
aka #fuckyou for buying tickets to our venue
and don’t post it on your group corporate site instead of the site everyone actually uses & was the site affected (I’m looking’ at you, #Ticketek 😡)
see https://www.teg.com.au/statement-regarding-ticketek-cyber-incident/
vs https://www.google.com/search?q=%22cyber+incident%22+site:ticketek.com.au
it should be required to be posted (in legible-sized text) at the top of the Ticketek for at least the next year 💁♀️
Buying tickets to Thom Yorke today was an absolute clusterfuck on Ticketek. 11am presale time, but it didn’t go on sale until 1:30pm. Two and a half hours of stress and endless page reloads, with absolutely no communication from anyone involved. Disastrous.
That said… persistence paid off and I got some great seats. Hopefully all worth it.
I have an ancient #Ticketmaster account (registered in 2005) which I last used 14 years ago when I saw #MassiveAttack in Australia for their 2010 Heligoland tour, which was a great show!
Given the recent data breach, I figured I should log in and see what info the account had. But it won’t let me log in unless I add my mobile phone number to help them prevent bots. Nice try, Ticketmaster.
My similarly ancient #Ticketek account doesn’t seem to exist – mustn’t have survived some site update.
