Made a thrift store run last night and ended up with some random things I probably didn't need, but still seemed kind of fun. (A common theme to my thrift store shopping.)

Total for the trip was a little more than $12.

Totally exhausted today. Travelling IS hard for me, and while it was wonderful hanging out with my eldest and my grandchild, I get very tired from socialising. Then the train home yesterday, where I worked all the ride, was delayed 35 minutes, because we had a medical emergency and had to stop and wait for an ambulance.
So I had already done, and worked to much, before starting working today at 9.30.
But now I have overseen students doing exams, online, for four hours, AND graded tests, and I'm not going do anything more today.
I'm just going to sit on the sofa and watch Drag Race .
Second photo is a sari that I found in a charity shop on Thursday. Indian fabrics tend to have a lot of excess dye in them, so I put it in the bath tub for a couple of hours and rinsed it out. So now it is hanging over the bath tub to dry .

Christmas is over. New (to me) curtains in both the kitchen and the living room are up, table cloths changed etc.
The kitchen curtains was one, very long, hand embroidered curtain in unbleached cotton. Probably Indian make, from the 1979s or 80s.
I cut it into two pieces, and folded down the top on the longer one to make them hang down to the same level. The curtain rods are at different levels you see .
The two hanging curtains in the living room are also hand embroidered; in the beginning of the 20th century. They have some faded bits, but I still like them very much. Both sets of curtains are from charity shops.

A recent thrift store haul - new old stock floppy diskettes! Interesting to find boxes of no name diskettes paired with Dysan diskettes, shame they're all high-density.

Looking forward to trying out that memory stick floppy adapter.
