This, the latest #ThreeBlindMice rerelease is nigh on perfect: such brilliantly inventive & dynamic musicianship & the SQ is bang on. #BernieGrundman has done such a great job with this series to date.
Perfect listening while I rework the first section of my WIP.
I’m on a #WaJazz kick & this is a great comp. Nardis & Feel Like Majin’ are standout, but there isn’t a bad track. This being #ThreeBlindMice, everything is so well done & it sounds glorious.

Spent the day #writing while listening to #MaraNakamoto III, the recent repress from #ThreeBlindMice.
It’s been a pretty productive day - I’ve just hit 25k words which, if everything goes to plan, is around a quarter of the way through.
Today I’m #editing & #amspinning Toki by the Hidefumi Toki Quartet while I do so.
This is the latest entry in the #ThreeBlindMice reissue series & it really is so well done.
Great music, great sound.
#NowListening to #BlowUp by the #SuzukiIsao Trio/Quartet. This is, I think, my favourite album from the #Impex #ThreeBlindMice boxset because perhaps swings the hardest.
I love the playing here & the record sounds about as good as anything I’ve heard: the natural attack of the piano, the timbre of the bass & cello, & the detail in the percussive snap of the drums.
This was mastered & cut at 45 by #TohruKotetsu who makes full use of that groove space.
BiscuitfeaturesAmongst my toddler’s first words were the first line of Three Blind Mice, which later became “Three blind mice, see how we are.”
Now, at 18mo, a surprisingly significant portion of her daily existence is devoted to finding new and interesting ways to utter these phrase. She’s currently rolling about in her bed yelling “see how we ARE!!”
Endlessly enchanting creature!
