Ralf SchneiderDas Album #SurfinBird von #TheTrashmen erschien 1964 und enthält den gleichnamigen Song, der als Single Platz 4 der US-Charts erreichte. Auch "Bird Dance Beat" war erfolgreich und kam bis auf Platz 30. Der typische Sound entstand, als die Band spontan zwei Songs der Rivingtons kombinierte. Die Aufnahmen fanden in Minneapolis statt und prägten den charakteristischen Stil des Surf-Rock.
