Tea Eater is the project of singer-songwriter and guitarist Tara Thiessen of the Sharkmuffin and Gustaf pedigree, where she creates music that is alternately comes from a fun branch of punk and light-hearted post-punk. Stylistically, the band's sound is a combination of garage punk, surf rock, and girl group vocals, that is also spiced up with an occasional sprinkling of grunge, though they keep it consistently upbeat, and catchy.
