@creating I watched the very first lift off of the MTV rocket in 1981! I first heard U2 (maybe it was "New Years Day"?) through MTV.

I put MTV Rewind on the TV to scream "Sunday Bloody Sunday" with Bono et al playing at Live Aid 1985.
