Been trying to breed my vienna #swordtails for a few months without success. Did a pump filter cleaning today in the main pop tank and lo and behold what I found inside π

I put together a simple fish list of my current stock. Albeit only the stuff I'm actively breeding in 2024 (none of my short term "curiosities" are listed).
#aquarium #fishbreeding #livebearer #endlers #guppies #ancistrus #medaka #ramshorn #swordtails #platys #corydoras #mollyfish

It's ironic how #guppies and #platys are both the starter fish where everyone begin their #aquarist journey, and often the final destination of said journey.
Sure, I didn't touch either one as I never enjoyed how they look or behave (save for FRA/BRS).
But after putting so much work and time into various species over the years. #Livebearers (particularly #endlers, guppies, platys and #swordtails) is such a breeze to work with; and I now appreciate why people choose to go this route in the end.
apparently new rule at my LFS, they don't accept fish bred by private breeders anymore, so moved my sub-adult red albino swordtails over to their main tank. sigh. gonna have to figure out what to do with them.
