it's getting tiring how people still don't get why the neolibs keep attacking wind.

it isn't the #oil companies. it's the capitalists.

#windpower is a threat to #capitalism unlike #solar, #hydro or #nuclear.

wind is unpredictable and forces negative prices; making electricity sometimes free - which is really bad for capitalism.

thats why. thats the entire reason why.

that's also why they are pushing nuclear. to control supply, to create artificial scarcity, and indefinitely pump prices up.

I mean, if anyone was wondering; this is where it all started, and all because that one guy wouldn't let me sit while I was having my morning coffee.

Every morning for half a year now. I spend an hour at a store (#Biltema) near my work, drinking coffee. And every morning, the cleaning guy tells me I can't sit down (except mornings he's sick), because he hasn't cleaned the floors of the cafeteria yet, which he does one hour later...

Well, not to be that guy. I mean, not to be spiteful and happy someone lost their job, but, I definitely am ready to welcome our new #dalek overlords exterminating the floor dirt.

Still obsesseing over #TigerAndDragon, a modern variety of the #japanese #boardgame #Goita. It was the second game I pulled out, a lot of groans initially, but everyone fell in love by the 4th round.

We ended up playing it in partnership mode for almost 2 days straight. All other games I threw on the table got a turn only for everyone to beg for Tiger & Dragon to come back.

Why its gotten as low as it has on #BGG? The tactile feel of the components alone adds dimension and variety over #Tichu!

i've been thinking about this forever, but why the fuck are there so many mobile phone brands all peddling Android? I mean, rationally speaking, there are only so many screens, cpus, memories, batteries, etc. You're quite literally just buying the exact same device with another logo on the back.

All it would take is one hardware company to sell parts to consumers instead of assembly, cut the price of assembly, and they're all fucked.

just like with the #computer

My 4yo just designed his first game and it's actually functional. See, you each get a large d6 die, and you have to roll them into the triangle he drew on the A4 sheet. If its not in the triangle, then you lose (unless both miss, then you go again). But here's the kicker, you can knock the other player's dice out. If both are touching the triangle, then the highest roll wins.

aw shit, after nearly a decade, #TurtleWoW is now shutting down :(

the one thing i hate the most about this is how they literally did what we've all been asking blizzard for, for two decades.

what kind of legal system would let a company refusing to supply what people want, the power to shut down the ones who supply it? make ot make sense please!

Granted, even if Blizzard decided to fix vanilla, I'm still going to boycott them lol.

Turtle WoW will be missed.

Yesterday I said I wish there was a trick-taking #cardgame vibing the skill and competitive feel of #Scout or #Startups.

I just want to make it clear that I'm well aware #Bridge exists. My grandfather was a pro player competing in the national tournaments back in the day. But, my point is it doesn't fit the gameplay i'm looking for, for 4 reasons:

1. partner mode only.
2. partner code play.
3. bidding is the win condition.
4. 1v2 open hand 'trick-taking' (little real impact on winning).

We did #Skulls and #Startups at work today.

Skulls was god awful, I love it. I'm so bad at bluffing and push your luck games lol. Not my genre.

Startups is a melding game that feels just as streamlined, deep and competitive as #Scout is for the shedding genre.

Still looking for that one true trick-taker. The one that will blow my mind. I hoped it'd be #SeasOfStrife because of the #ShelfStable #podcast loving it, but after ~100 games I'm just not feeling it. Too random.

Got to play #TigerAndDragon by #OINK with 3 players today. It was just as enjoyable as with 2.

Of course, my Mom beat the crap out of us 5/6 times. Which might be why she loved the game just as much as we do!

This game might have become a bit of an obsession for me lol.
