From the #UENPS radar - a wonderful example of tradition-based medicine: a survey study in Croatia on cord clamping and cord management revealed a strong regional pattern within Croatia, how the umbilical cord stump was managed.

(the #SweMed perspective, nothing is done with the umbilical cord except some parental advice about "light" cleansing with soap and water)

National and population-based #swemed data incl 2.5M children born 1995-2019 - no association seen.
I.e. negative study with an important #publichealth message.
