Dr. Anna LatourOkay so while I was living in Singapore, I had a crush on a young woman here, but then found out that she was in a long term relationship with a man, so I didn’t do anything about the crush and moved on.
Just had dinner with her to catch up.
Not only did she dump the boyfriend. She’s now in a relationship with a woman.
I feel robbed.
Still we had a lot of fun and I’m super happy that she’s in a more fun and more functional relationship now.

Der gestrige Tag war alles andere als leicht, auch wenn sich das eine oder andere als weniger dramatisch herausgestellt hat, als ich vermutet hatte. Ich schreibe ja lieber verklausuliert, damit der Leser was zum Denken und Interpretieren hat, aber hier sei es einmal deutlich gesagt:
Gestern habe ich meine Mutter zu Grabe getragen. Mit 81 ist sie friedlich eingeschlafen.
So schön und feierlich sie auch ist, eine Trauerfeier ist immer auch sehr anstrengend. Für den Körper, aber vor allen Dingen für den Geist. Mein Vater und ich waren deshalb gestern sehr froh um unsere kleine Familie, die uns Halt und irgendwann auch wieder Anlass zum herrlich freien Lachen gegeben hat.
Ein Kapitel ist abgeschlossen, aber das Buch wartet noch mit einem Epilog auf. Heute ist Ruhetag, morgen stürze ich mich dann in den noch notwendigen Papierkrieg...
Habt einen angenehmen Samstag, genießt den Moment!
Die Vergangenheit ist eine Geschichte, die Zukunft ein Traum. Aber die Gegenwart ist ein Geschenk!

Strider LongshanksOur week in #Tokyo, #Japan is fast approaching its end. We'll be back again, possibly in September, in Yokohama, where we'll be a bit freer to organize our event calendar. Yesterday, I went from Tokyo to #Osaka on the #Shinkansen train, and literally saw nothing at all of Osaka, except for the inside of the highrise building where our meeting was taking place, as we stepped off the train into the basement of that building and took the lift. Didn't even get to see Mount Fuji, as I was on the wrong side of the train, and leaning over someone's seat whilst they're in it to take a picture is a big no-no. The glimpses of the countryside I did see were quite stunning. Clearly, there is so much more to discover.
