The one and only Hello Kitty Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Hakata will be suspended on the 17th of may 2026.
Thankfully my travel route takes me their before the date :)

Doch seit Monaten arbeitet JR Kyushu daran, den ersten Teil der Einheit U005 nach einem Erdbebenschaden zu restaurieren, und schickt ihn zum 10-Jährigen Kyūshū-Shinkansen-Jubiläum sogar auf die Straße und das Schiff. Mittlerweile ist U005 an seinem Endbahnhof angekommen.
