Experimenting with Colour and Pattern
In an effort to help me develop my eye for colour, 'Vegvisir was painted in a rich, highly patterned technique.. The slight crosshatched patterned paint, a continuation of a style that I've been exploring in previous works. However it was created after indulging in a bout of experimentation, playing with new ideas and approaches, and as a result, Vegvisir is visually, in colour and technique, very different from my recent works.

Reflective Infoxication' Silverleaf Oil Painting WIP
Hi guys, thanks for dropping by!.. Reflective Infoxication took many years of stops and starts till it's final completion (about 4 years altogether) and they were quite an eventful few years (at least for me) with many lessons learnt in life and art,. Thus, though I think it was completed very close to what I had envisioned at the onset, I did so as a very different person and hopefully a better artist..

Child of Mars' Oil and Goldleaf Painting WIP
Hiya guys!.. Continuing my endeavor to paint luminous realism in my figurative oils, while still somehow subtly combining the aesthetics of the painterly excitement in impressionist colour, this piece incorporates the contouring line impressions throughout the figure that I have been exploring in recent works such as

'Duality of Mind' Pastel and Colour Pencil WIP
This is quite a minimalist drawing using soft pastels ( a medium I hadn't used in the past decade before this!). The composition was carefully constructed beforehand as it was to be The Most important and visible element in the piece ( even more than usual ) due to the minimalist design.

The Dawning Light WIP
Hiya guys, I've got this awesome high octagon roof ceiling in my house that I've always wanted to paint ever since moving in. It's especially beautiful in the morning as the sunlight beams through the high windows above. From the earliest kindlings of light from passing traffic and the subsequent hours passing by there after, the beams move down, shifting, every moment is beautiful.

Candle Wax Wood Counter Finish (with Stain And Beeswax Finished Supports)
Hiya folks! So if you haven't read my previous detailed ‘how’d I do it’ posts ( Making a Quarter Corner Floating Standing Desk from Reclaimed Wooden Cable Reel & DIY Reclaimed Wooden Cable Reel Semicircle Floating Table) this is just a follow up about how they were finished!..

DIY Reclaimed Wooden Cable Reel Semicircle Floating Table
Hiya guys! This is the 2nd part of my detailed account about making new floating standing tables for my studio from a reclaimed wooden cable reel I found. In the 1st Part ( Making a Quarter Corner Floating Standing Desk from Reclaimed Wooden Cable Reel

The Traveller WIP
For this piece I planned on melding the lovely linear beauty of ink crosshatching with realistic renderings in oil... A piece like this can easily look too overworked or too detailed so my aim was to try to keep my lines simple, adding each stroke, be it oil or ink, with conscious proficy so the final result was completed with the least amount of dabs or strokes possible to convey what was needed...

Making a Simple Mahl Stick Easel Attachment
Hiya guys, this here is the second part of the improvements I did for my easel recently, focusing on making the 'Mahl Stick' this time. (Check out the first part at 'Making a Simple Shelf Addition for Easel'). I've used a traditional mahl stick in the past with the padded end covered with fabric, but having to hold it in one hand while anchoring it to the easel or artwork while I worked (not ideal) was really restrictive and just made the whole process awkward and uncomfortable.. Needless to say I hardly ever used one..

Making a Simple Shelf Addition for Easel
Hi guys! This new attached mahl stick and extra easel shelf was so simple to make and has been such an invaluable addition to my studio since, I knew I had to drop by and post about it. Who knows it may help you make your own!.. To make things a little clearer I've made two separate posts for the shelf and attached mahl stick. This post focuses on the shelf.
