Last semester, during a group project, we created this cat out of real clay for a stop motion short. I then decided to recreate it in 3d to animate and play around.

I missed animating, I so rarely get the chance to, especially with a super cartoony character.
Also, I'm pretty proud of the squash and stretch rig, it works so well with the character.

This technique creates a "painterly art map" (PAM) of brushstrokes from a painting, and uses this map to render 3D scenes in a painterly style. This technique predates the first neural style transfer (NST) paper by ~6 years, predates StyleGAN by ~10 years, and runs in real time.
