#30daysOfBiking I took the #umbrellaBike from Hillsdale to Beaverton and the passenger from Beaverton to the craft store to Hillsdale. It was misty, but not really raining until the return trip and then it finished before we got home. #cargoBikes #eBikes #pdxBikes #pdxTST

Gasoline is $5.50/gal and drivers (aka trumpers) aren't even phased (obvs it should have been $15 ten years ago.) Why is it, that only the oil companies can raise the price of gas and no politician is brave enough to tax it anywhere near the same level?

#PaintIsNotProtection and the overall neglect of the safety and quality of bike infrastructure (always designed to make ample room for cars) is the systemic reason people keep driving, keep turning the crank on the war machine every day. And it's also the one thing that leaders can easily change to influence behavior. It's not a lack of budget or space, it's that the DOTs spend it all on cars and ignore every mode of #transportation that actually makes a city work. #stroads #bhHwy #Portland

@bweller isn't it cute how the bike lane gets squeezed by the guardrail that's here to keep drivers from going into the ravine? It's had a whole bunch of Engineering put into it. But to keep people driving cars from killing people on bikes, we just do plastic sticks. 🤔 fractional importance factor?
