Jumping to something completely different:

Unfortunately this project is stalled, I hope to find the time to continue it. Here's a #C64 conversion of an old #Amiga type-in game found in some german magazine (AmigaBASIC). It's pure #mos6502 #assembly and actually adds lots of features to the original (like a score, like music, like fast scrolling and fast movements ... btw the sound/music code is also hand-written, no tracker used).

So, here's #stoneage64, preview-2:

Stoneage64 Preview 2

Commodore 64 Game Preview: Stoneage64 Preview 2 by Zirias. Released on 27 January 2023

About the "upcoming preview 3" of #stoneage64, here's the rough roadmap of things needed:

- A tutorial mode. This is needed because it looks so similar to #Boulderdash, but works quite differently. And that's where I'm stalled now for months cause I don't find the time πŸ™ˆ
- More in-game tunes (decided to only use 2 #SID channels here to have one dedicated to sfx, that's a bit challenging for composing) and one title tune
- More levels
- Some additional artwork (like title picture etc)

#C64 #retrogaming

A little #C64 "techdemo" of upcoming (whenever I find time again ....) "preview 3" of my WIP game #stoneage64 (posted on Twitter long before, but hey, gotta introduce myself to the community here πŸ™ˆ)

How fast can you (8-way) scroll without #VIC trickery on a stock C64? Pretty fast I guess 😎
