@GottaLaff @emptywheel. On the topic of the #media as #stenographers. Listening to #NPR story about #Michigan & the #autoworkers strike just now was maddening. Simple ventroliquizing of #Trump's utterly absurd position that he is a protector of #workers' rights. We have a record of 4 years in the White House and a record of non-payment for labor for decades before that. How about dig into (and you don't need to dig deep) his record and compare it with the words spoken? They are false/fraudulent.

Irving Oil posts a poorly veiled threat about having to restructure due to the energy transition and CBC reprints it wholesale.

Irving Oil is privately held. The only reason they posted this press release is because they want concessions. If they were serious about restructuring, they would restructure without telling anyone.

And CBC dutifully tells us Irving has 4000 employees, etc.
