The aliens actually look alien!
Live-action shows suffer from the rather serious limitations of animatronics, composited CGI, and the fact that most actors are human.
Animated shows have no such limitations. Want a bipedal cat that actually moves like a cat? A giant rock creature? A creature that's just a cloud of sentient glowing gas inside a suit? Can do!
If Lower Decks season 5 was so great, why didn't they make Lower Decks season 6?
No, seriously, why the hell did they not make more Lower Decks??? ๐ญ
