Solitary sparrow
Seeking some sunflower seeds
Sipping springwater

#photomonday - St Ann's Well, a 5000 year old geothermal spring which rises to the well from ½ a mile/1 km below ground and emerges at a steady 27 °C (80 °F).

A 16th-century act of Parliament ruled that a free supply of the spring water must be provided for the town's residents.

Even though Buxton Mineral water is now sold commercially, the well remains free and you can always see someone with a bag or even a carboot full of bottles.
